Returns and Exchanges                              

Before you return your boots, a note about fit:

In BAFFIN boots, 95% of our customers wear their true size. Boots from the Polar Extreme Series (-148 F/-100 C) always feel tight at first, but the foam liner will break in and compress to your foot shape with some wear. We suggest:
  1. Wear the boots inside the house for at least one hour.
  2. Still not sure? Take the liner out of the boot and put it on. The liner will expand in width but not in length. If the liner is too short for your foot, exchange for the next size up.
  3. Put your foot inside the shell of the boot, without the liner. This shows how much room you have once the liner compresses and forms to the width of your foot.
To Return or Exchange your boots, follow these simple steps:

Free Return Labels must be requested within ten days of delivery and returned to the warehouse within 20 days of delivery (see details below.)

We cannot accept returns on boots that show wear, smell like cigarettes or contain pet hair (see details below.)

  1. Click here to fill out a Return Form.
  2. On the form, please indicate whether you would like an Exchange or a Refund. If an Exchange, please indicate the new model, size and color on the form. To ensure availability, we recommend placing a new order, so that we may ship your new product immediately.
  3. Submit the Return Form request to receive a UPS return shipping label. Your UPS return label will arrive by email within one business day (please specify another email address, if different from email at order placement). The return label will come from
  4. Print the UPS return label and attach it to the outside of the package using clear tape.
  5. Securely wrap your order in its original packaging, using an outer box so that the manufacturer’s package is well protected.
  6. Drop at the UPS center or hand to any UPS driver.
Returns are typically received and inspected by our warehouse within three days of delivery. A credit is then issued to the original form of payment within seven business days. Please note that depending on your credit card company's policy, it may take additional time for the credit to post to your account. For Exchanges, your new boots will be shipped as soon as your shipment is inspected and processed, typically within three business days, if not sooner!

Returns within the US 48


Returns are free within 10 days of delivery receipt under the following conditions:
  • Boots must be received by us in brand new condition.  Please be sure your boots are free of pet hair, and do not smell of smoke.  We cannot accept returns on boots that have been worn outside
  • Manufacturer temperature ratings are a guideline and not a guarantee.
  • Boots must be received by us within 20 days of delivery:
    • credit will be issued for returns received after the return deadline.
    • A return fee of $8.50 will be deducted from returns received after the 20 day deadline.
  • Boots must be packaged in the original packaging:
    • Please use a secure outer box to protect the manufacturer's packaging. Unfortunately, we must charge a $5.00 box fee if mailed in the manufacturer's box.
Baffin boot liners cannot be returned.  Please make sure you are ordering the correct liner and the correct size for your boots.  If you have any questions about what liner you need, let us know, and we can help!

Some clearance items are clearly marked "not subject to free return shipping". However, we are still happy to provide you with a return label for a $8.50 fee within the US48 UPS delivery area. To identify if you are in the UPS delivery area, please see the Shipping page.

These specially priced clearance items can neither be returned nor exchanged. does not refund the cost of expedited shipping in the event of a return.
