The word waterproof is a confusing word in the winter boot industry. Other companies might call a rubber bottom boot waterproof. We don't. In out terms, a waterproof boot is one that is made of rubber or seam sealed to create a waterproof seal.

That said, every one of the boots in Baffin's line has a waterproof rubber bottom which will keep your foot completely dry in nearly all winter conditions. We won't call it waterproof, however, unless it is impenetrable, top to bottom, every time.

The boots in The Waterproof Collection are either made of all-rubber, which provides the highest level of water repellence on the planet, or seam sealed waterproof construction, a process that cements any area where the leather is stitched to the rubber base resulting in a waterproof seal. As with all leathers, it is important to continue to treat the leather with a snow seal to maintain its waterproof properties.
