With an added snow collar and lock to prevent any snow from entering your boot, you can enjoy the winter season without worrying! Don't get confused by the -148 F rating, it doesn't have to be that cold outside to use these boots. In fact, you'd be crazy to go outside if it was that cold. Our world would shut down if it was that cold. The -148 F temperature rating indicates that the liner and shell of the boot offer that much more warmth than a more conventional -40 F rated boot. If it's 20 degrees or colder, this is the boot I'd buy. I hate having cold feet!
